Newcastle Eye Hospital Foundation was founded in 2011 to raise necessary funds to provide eye surgery for those who need it most.  Our mission is to improve eye sight for our community, both locally and abroad.  Our second mission is to research.  Our third mission is to educate and provide for junior doctors and staff as needed.  

If you wish to give to our foundation, all donations are tax deductible and will be used for the projects you nominate, or allocated by us to the areas of need.  

Dr Peter Davies was pleased to receive from the Newcastle Lord Mayor the Keys to the City of Newcastle in 2017 for our charity work.   You can read about this here.

The majority of vision loss is preventable and through our partnership with Eye Openers in India,  we work to eliminate avoidable blindness for those who would not readily have access to quality eye care. 

Through our Golden ticket program here in Australia, we have also provided many cataract surgeries funded by the foundation to those who need it most.
