Newcastle Eye Hospital Foundation was founded in 2011 to raise necessary funds to provide eye surgery for those who need it most. 
The United Nations resolved in 2021 to launch a global effort to relieve visual impairment.   
We resolve to be a part of the solution to this global problem.  

The majority of of vision loss is preventable and through our partnership with Eye Openers in India,  we work to eliminate avoidable blindness for those who would not readily have access to quality eye care. 

Through our Golden ticket program here in Australia, we have also provided many cataract surgeries funded by the foundation to those who need it most.
