Hunter Eye Surgeons is the largest cooperating group of independent Ophthalmologists in the Hunter Valley. We provide three clinical locations in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley Region, dedicated to your health and wellbeing.

Founded in 2006 by Dr Peter Davies, we have grown to be the region's largest cooperation of Ophthalmologists, working for the good of the community. A report is sent to your GP and optometrist to ensure continuity and consistency of care. You can have this report if you want as well.

Newcastle Eye Hospital can perform emergency operations within half an hour of presentation if clinically required. This is the only hospital in our region with this capability.

Hunter Eye Surgeons can handle any problem. The surgeons have additional retinal surgery training, meaning you will not need to be transferred to another hospital if a complexity arises.

OUR ADMINISTRATION STAFF

Our friendly staff are led by Mrs Julie Unwin who has worked with Dr Davies for over fifteen years.

Our team will greet you on arrival and check your details, including medicare and any private health fund information. They are there to assist you with anything you might need and answer any questions you might have regarding your appointment.
